We do not accept physical copies of games unless we specifically request them. To begin the submission process, please send the rules in Microsoft Word format to submissions@northstargames.com with the text "Game Submission" in the subject field. The email should follow the format below:
Overview: Explain in a few sentences what the game is about.
Target Market: Explain in a few sentences who the game's target market is.
Cut and paste the following paragraph into the top of your email:
I understand that my game submission may be similar or identical to ideas that North Star Games, LLC has independently designed or that has or may be brought to North Star Games, LLC from other sources. I agree that I shall not be entitled to any compensation by reason of the use by North Star Games, LLC of such similar or identical material. I agree to indemnify North Star Games, LLC from any legal proceeding or intellectual property infringement regarding this game submission.
The paragraph above is part of the industry's standard disclosure statement. We are not in business to steal your ideas. Rather, the clause is meant for our protection because game publishers often get submissions which are similar to projects that they are already working on. Inventors sometimes mistakenly believe that a publisher is trying to steal their idea, when this is almost never the case in the board game industry.
