Tom Vasel
I corresponded with Tom Vasel through email for several years before I finally got to meet him
at Origins in 2006 (Origins is a convention where 5,000 people gather to play games!). He attended one of our Wits & Wagers Game Shows and covered the event on
his podcast. I am happy to say, he is as much fun in real life as he seems from his
pod casts and game reveiws. I'm also happy to say that our event was listed among his favorite
top 10 things to do at Origins. Not bad, considering there are thousands of events at Origins.

What Tom Vasel Says:
- Giraffe: This is my wife's favorite animal. And as she is the person who keeps me going, day after day, I wanted to honor her.
- Cheese: I love cheese - it can be added to practically every meal to make it taste better. Mmmmm, cheese. Sadly, it's fairly expensive in Korea, but I still manage to eat it often!
- Calculator: I'm a junior high mathematics teacher, so this seemed natural.
- Shield: There's no real reason I picked this, other than I thought it would be a cool thing to sculpt. I always loved the little lego shields we played with as children.
- Taco: There is no better food - EVER - anywhere! I could eat tacos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week, and never get tired of them. Tacos rule!
- Suspenders: So much easier than a belt.
- Monopoly: Since I love board games, I wanted to put one in a game, and this seems to be one board game that is universally known. I'm not saying I love the game, because I don't - but it's still a symbol of board games.
- Accordion: My favorite instrument to play.
- Spiderman: The best superhero of them all! Witty, smart, and not too powerful. He's the hero of the everyman.
